Do the broiler and griddle work independently or together?
Together. The griddle and broiler are both on at the same time, but the baffles help direct heat either towards the broiler when closed, or up towards the griddle when open.
Does this come with a cover?
No, the Griddler does not come with a cover, but our all-weather protective cover (CGC-9224) can be purchased at Cuisinart.com
What are the necessary tools to griddle?
A couple spatulas for sure, tongs are great, a cleaning set. As you become a pro you may want a burger press or melting dome or food mover
